Who we are & How we farm

We are a small family farm focused on growing wholesome, natural and chemical free fruit, vegetables and herbs in the most ecologically responsible way we can.

House Garden - Summer 2012

The design of our farm has been strongly influenced by the principles of Permaculture, and by the work of Robert A. de J. Hart.

We are producing food for our CSA using traditional organic farming methods in combination with vegetable mandala gardens set amongst a forest garden design.

Our farming methods are centered around building the life of the soil – which we are doing through a combination of Biodynamics, Composts, Green Manures, Chooks and Sheep.

Our seasonal notes offer personal insight to what we are doing week to week and what we think about gardening,  farming and food production.

Pictures below taken of the same view up the main driveway over the four years since we arrived – showing changes made with cardboard (lots of cardboard!!), coarse mulch, indigenous plantings – and the establishment of the first three CSA Mandalas. There are more photos in the Galleries.
