Snow Pea 'Beauregarde'

A$5.25

Pisum sativum

SOLD OUT - Seed Available Jan 2025

**NOT TO TASMANIA**

Bred to bring more flavor (and more purple) to purple peas, these high-anthocyanin, wavy-podded snow peas hold their vibrant color when cooked. Wait for small peas to develop in the pod to reach full flavor potential. 60-80 days to maturity, depending on planting date.

Depending on your climate, peas can be sown from February - late September. Peas germinate in cooler soil and much prefer growing in the cool season. While the plant is frost hardy, the flowers and the pods can be damaged by frost. Newly germinated peas are well liked by birds and rats - you can cover them with netting for early protection.

Developed by the Vegetable Breeding Institute at Cornell University. A portion of the sales of this variety is paid to the breeder
