Beautiful dark wine-coloured flowers that bloom all summer long. Strong slender stems. The flowers are truly a standout in cut flower displays. After the flowers have faded the remaining conical shaped seed pods add eye catching texture to displays.
PLEASE NOTE - We have removed the seed husk which allows this seed to be used with a vacuum seeder or a direct seeding roller. It also has increased the germination rate!

TRANSPLANT (recommended) - Sow 4-6 weeks before last frost. Barley cover as light aids germination. Transplant to larger containers when the first true leaves appear. Harden off and transplant outside after last frost.
DIRECT SEED - After last frost. Successive plantings every 2-3 wks until late Spring gives best quality flowers and pods.
HARVESTING - for longest vase life, harvest flowers in the morning, choosing blooms that have just begun to show good color but are not yet open.
