Shirley and Breadseed poppies are two of the easiest flowers to grow – provided your timing is correct. Autumn sowings provide larger, earlier blooms on strong, prolific plants. Beloved by bees with stunning colours and tissue paper like petals, poppies fill the gap between spring bulbs and warm weather flowers.

We love them arranged by themselves or in combination pale foliage and lime green flowers, roses, peonies, bells of Ireland, poppies, celosia, zinnias. With an array of colours, they are quintessential cottage garden flowers and much sought after by floral designers.
